Director/Commercial Property Solicitor & Head of Immigration Department

Kemesha qualified as a Solicitor in June 2008 and is the firm’s Head of Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Department. She is a Law Society Accredited Immigration Specialist and member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association.

Kemesha also specialises in Commercial Property Law and acts for businesses, landlords and tenants in the acquisition and sale of commercial freeholds, commercial leases and businesses.

Kemesha has successfully dealt with high profile and complex immigration matter including revocation of deportation orders, bail applications, applications for injunctions to prevent removal from the UK and appeals before the Special Immigration Appeals Commission.

This case concerned immigration Leave to Enter. The Court of Appeal allowed the Claimant’s appeal against a decision of the Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) to uphold the Secretary of State’s refusal of an application for a Tier 4 Student Visa. The Court of Appeal held that the Upper Tribunal had erred in treating the policy guidance to the Immigration Rules as if it contained mandatory requirements.

Kemesha also regularly provides Pro Bono legal advice to various Kent communities and also organises and presents regular immigration seminars at various locations in Kent including Canterbury and Bluewater.

Outside of work Kemesha enjoys travelling and socialising with friends and family.
