The Role

As a Private Client Solicitor in our firm, you will be a crucial part of our team, managing a diverse caseload and providing high-quality legal advice in all aspects of private client law.

You will manage a varied and interesting caseload including:

• Wills
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Probate and estate administration
• Trusts
• Estate and succession planning
• Court of Protection matters (if applicable)
• Inheritance Tax planning

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a comprehensive caseload of private client matters with minimal supervision.
• Providing expert legal advice on wills, probate, trusts, powers of attorney and deputyships.
• Drafting legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, offering empathetic and personalised advice.
• Working collaboratively with team members to contribute to the department’s goals and targets.
• Keeping abreast of changes in legislation and best practices in private client law.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor in the UK.
• Demonstrated experience in managing a full caseload of private client matters.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and compassionate advice to clients.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of client care and service.
• Membership in the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) would be advantageous but is not essential.
