Legal Secretary with experience in Family & Matrimonial Law (All Offices)

Manak is a well established and respected solicitors firm with offices in Gravesend, Orpington and Sevenoaks. The firm offers services to private paying clients.

Main Purpose of Job

Working as a member of a small tightly knit team of professionals, the jobholder will provide legal and administrative support as necessary to support the firm in achieving the high levels of service required by the firm’s clients.

Responsibilities

Client communication: Personal contact when receiving clients, as well as by telephone, fax, written and electronic correspondence.  Ensuring all dictation is transcribed and printed as necessary and all post is despatched on time.
Client administration: maintaining all client files, diarising follow up client communication, printing and filing of emails.
Office administration: To assist with the smooth running of the office, equipment and facilities. Covering reception as and when required.

Contacts

External        Clients, Prospective Clients, Suppliers, Agents and courts.
Internal         Staff at all offices and directors.

Skills required or specialist knowledge necessary to perform job

Total accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent computer skills – especially Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
Strong administrative skills with familiarity of office IT systems.
Possess strong secretarial and audio typing skills. Legal experience would be helpful, although not essential.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Good customer service skills and smart appearance.
Excellent communication skills at all levels, verbally and in writing.
Good educational background with high standards of literacy and numeracy.
To be able to understand the needs of the business and its clients.
Understanding the need for complete confidentiality within a professional environment while respecting the privacy of the firm’s clients.
